I attended the ceremony at UPSI on last Sunday to get my "award" as I was foretold. At the ceremony, I met Tan Sri Rais Yatim in person for the first time. He gave a damn long speech about our second prime minister, Allahyarham Tun Abdul Razak, histories and his experiences. My friends and I collected our "awards" as soon as he finished his speech. It turned out the "awards" were a bag and a check worth of RM200. No certificates, no medals, no trophies. Nothing great about this "awards". The end.
JPA result is released today. Of course I checked mine and found out i got shortlisted for the interview. I kinda expected this outcome, but I am still quite grateful and of course excited for it. My interview will be held on 7th of April, 2pm at Ipoh, which is next wednesday. I got about one week to prepare for my interview. I am going to brush up my english and malay as well. I haven't speak and write in malay for quite a long time already. I think I am going to do some read up on recent news for both local and international. Maybe some articles will help too. Anyway, I want to congratulate those that got JPA interview. Lets work hard together to ensure we got this scholarship.
Well, that's all for now. I had been so busy these few days until I didn't have time to update my blog. I will try to update my blog when I am free again.
P.S. I'm sure everyone checked their result for JPA. Just in case someone haven't check it and wants to know where to check it, please visit

Oh my god!!! I got a phone call from yayasan telekom. I still can't believe my ears when I heard him saying he was calling from telekom. Here's how the conversation goes:
*Rings* *Rings* *Pick up the phone*
*Hello, may I speak to Mr. Tan Ke Yang?*
*I am Tan Ke Yang*
*I am calling from from telekom. Congratulations to you for getting such an excellent result.
*Thank you*
*I am here to tell you that you are invited to UPSI to meet with Menteri ... .. (I can't really hear the name he told me) *
... ... ...
... ... ...
And the conversation continues with me unable to focus on what he said because my heart already flew to the sky.
The moment I hung up the phone, I wanted to scream as loud as possible, considering the fact that if I don't do so, I will get a heart attack. Then, instead of screaming out loudly like a crazy person, I screamed it out by means of typing it out! I'm really sorry, my friends, for typing "omg" like an insane person. Well, I heard him saying that he will send a letter to my house tomorrow and he confirmed with me my address and my cell phone number (my dad's number) and thats all. I'm so going to get myself a former attire!! I just want to ask, anyone in the same boat with me?? Hopefully there will be someone to accompany me on that day. :D
Here's a piano cover to share with you all. Its specially recorded for leowanie as a present for her birthday a fortnight ago. Sorry that I delayed it! xD

Scholarship frenzy had already started!! Students all over Malaysia are applying scholarships, hoping to get one to study abroad or locally in respective interested field. The same goes for me. I already started filling in the forms for scholarships such as JPA and some others. Well, I think most of you all had already know my result. I got 9A+, 2A and 2A-. It is not a very stupendous result, nevertheless, a satisfying result for me albeit I wished to get better result for my history. However, I'm still grateful for what I achieved. Just to let everyone know, I'm taking engineering courses in future. Anyone in the same basket with me? XP
Well, thats all for now. I congratulate every students in Malaysia that did well in their spm and wish all those that applied for scholarships good luck and all the best. Lets engineer our future from now on. :D
Today is the day which every students that took spm last year had been looking forward to. The moment of truth is just hours away from us. This is it! Everything that we did for the last 2 years, or maybe even 5 years is to prepare us for this moment - the day in which we will get our spm result. It will be a day filled with tears - tears of joy, happiness, satisfaction or tears of disappointment, remorse and other emotions thereof. For me, I am feeling quite nervous. My stomach is churning as we get closer to 1oam. No wonder people often described it as having butterflies in stomach.
Anyway, I will just wish all spm09 candidates all the best and good luck in getting your result. However bad or unexpected your result will turn out, don't let it undermine your indomitable spirit in pursuing your studies. After all, spm is nothing than just a more-important-than-usual-tests examination and one that succeeded in getting excellent result in spm might not succeed in his/her future. Well, thats all for now. I'm off to school to take my result!! Wish me tonnes of lucks yeah! :D

I found this title rather intriguing when I first thought of it. Its not just 4 words being put together just to make it look like what a teacher will teach in a grammar class. Haha, I will just let you all find it out yourself. Being tagged by one of my friends, nicholas, I have no choice but to answer the questions in this tagging game, which I found annoying to have to answer as they are all related to one theme: cry.
1. Do you cry usually?
Judging by the term "usually", I don't think I cried that often.
2. When would you cry?
When something really sad or happy happens regardless of time.
3. Why do you cry?
There are numerous reasons and each of it might differs, causing infinite reasons to exist. So, I will not write out a what seemed to be a never-ending reasons.
4. When was the last time you cried?
I am getting older as the time goes on and my memories ain't that good compared to my old days. I think you know what I meant.
5. Why did you cried last time?
Since question 4 remained unknown, this answer will be another question mark.
6. Who would you find when you are crying?
Err, I think it will be my pillow if you consider a pillow as a "who". Otherwise, no one else.
7. When you are crying, what would you need to be with you?
A box of tissues? Hahaha.. :)
8. Do you need someone to console you when you are crying?
Nope, I can recover quickly, at least not in the present or past. Who knows what will happen in future. =D
9. Do you cry in public?
I don't know the extent of the term "public" but I guess I had not tried it yet.
10. Who is the 5 person you would like to tag?
Since I find these questions are quite irritating, I think I won't tag any of my friends. If you guys find these questions amusing, then go on ahead and try it. Otherwise, don't force yourself. (No offence to those who created it)
Well, thats all for now. Its 3 more days until SPM result day!!

Yesterday was my former school's sports day. My friends and I decided to pay a visit to our former school to watch how our juniors are doing in their marching competition and also meet up with the teachers. Since I was a bit late, I missed the chance to see how the marching competition progressed. After I reached the school, I realized that this year's sports day was not as grandeur and packed as last year. Decorations were rarely seen around the school. In fact, I saw only a few balloons and banners only. There were also lesser rules that restrict students from going out of the school while the events were still going on, which I think, was the major reason the field was less crowded.
The result of the marching competition was anticipated. For the uniforms, KRS, as usual, won the marching competition. Meanwhile, the prefects won the other group. The only unexpected event was the librarian won the salute part of the whole marching competition which was usually won by prefects. So, I will congratulate all librarians that worked so hard in their training. Well done! At the end of sports day, the present KRS leader announced a jaw-dropping news - those that participated in the marching competition will be promoted to corporal. I couldn't understand the purpose behind his action and I find this notion distasteful. It was unfair to those that earned their rank through hard work. Anyway, its not my decision to make. So, I'll just leave it for them to decide. An advice from me, think wisely before you act.
Well, thats all for now. 5 more days only until I get my SPM result!!

I love to play badminton! I had been going for badminton practice quite frequently in these few days. The idea of playing badminton was brought up by one of my friends as he longed to engage in badminton and sweat a lot. He called up a few of us and off we went to the court. Its been so long since I last held a racquet and indulge myself in the game seriously. The first few minutes was awkward as it seemed that its not only me that didn't play badminton all this while! Nevertheless, the game went on smoothly. A few hitting, smashing and saving the shuttle cock really made us sweat a lot. I never imagined that playing badminton can be so exhausting albeit I played numerous times before and never got this tired at all! Maybe being a couch potato for 2 months reduced my stamina that I gained through years of marching into dusts. The scarcity of my drinking water even made things worse. Its not that I did not bring my bottle of water. Its just that I misjudged the level of weariness, therefore I brought only 500ml of water with me which is insufficient for me. Some of my friends even didn't bring any as they have similar interpretation as me - playing badminton is not tiring. Nonetheless, we can always get water in a condition, we pay for it. What a materialistic world! The world that is ruled by money. Never mind that, it will be another story for another day. :) For me, playing badminton is exhausting, yet exhilarating. Its definitely fun to hang out with your friends while you still can do exercise.
Despite having the practice in the evening that already deprived me of my strength, I went through an unbelievable night. I was going to attend my friend's birthday party. Since I haven't got my car driving license and my parents are too preoccupied, another friend of mine came to fetch me and a few of other guys and girls from the town to the cafe. A supposed-to-be-5-minutes-ride turned out to be a 45 minutes ride! Here is what happened:
The "passengers" made a bet with the "driver". We challenged the "driver" to go KL and the "driver" accepted it. The first station was Kalumpang. The "driver" drove slowly and managed to reach the first destination. The next station: Kuala Lumpur. The "driver" bravely accepted our challenge despite being a P license holder for only one year. Of course the "driver" took highway since it will be faster. Being undaunted by other big cars, lorries and buses that drove along the highway, the driver actually sped through with a speed of about 100km/h. The first stop will be Lembah Beringin. As I predicted, Lembah Beringin looked just like a dead city. Cars and humans were rarely seen as we drove towards the one and only college located there, KYUEM. There were only trees along the street and also street lamps which were not working. The place was quite creepy. The brooding mist that immersed the place even made it looked foreboding. Okay, I know its a bit over-exaggerated but I can assure you that what I am telling you is mostly true. Then without us knowing, the entrance of KYUEM just appeared in front of us!! So, we took some picture as "proof" that we went there and head back. Yeah, thats all about our "journey to KL" and we never reached KL. However, there were debates regarding the reason the "driver" did not continue the journey to KL. We even nearly got ourselves involved in a car accident while arguing. Luckily, nothing happened. XD The most hilarious part of the journey is that we even stopped our car in the middle of the road before we reached the toll to Lembah Beringin to take some pictures since there's no car around. I must warn you, do not copy what we did as it will be a dangerous act. At the party, I had a delectable dinner. I even got a chance to play snooker at the cafe. It was our first time playing but I can see some of my friends really got the talent since they managed to score after a few times trying. Also at the same time, we met Diva at the cafe with Roushan. Diva just came back from Perth, Australia last Friday! They were the ones that taught us the ways to play snooker. Thanks yea! Oh, I just noticed that I wrote a long passage of craps. Hahaha!! :P
Well, thats all for now. Tomorrow is my school's sports day. Hopefully green team will win although red team always wins the first place. Green team, go go go!! :)
