Awaken From Deep Slumber

Wednesday, September 22, 2010
Like a dragon that dwells within its den that awakens from deep slumber and a phoenix that rises from its ashes, I am finally revived. I have nothing but apologies to my readers because I left without notice and reasons, but I am now back for greater good.

Earlier before I was on hiatus, I mentioned about how I chose a road diverged in front of me. Indeed, the road chosen leads to a path I never expected, thanks to those who enlightened me. Well, I am now an official UNMC student and the experiences I got from this university is truly worth-while. Great lecturers, facilities and most importantly, awesome bunch of friends. I gotta admit that this university is located in a deserted place, somewhere among the estate. However, it provides a serene environment with nature barricading it - an ideal place to study.

Also, I officially finished my first semester a few days ago and my following semester will commence in a week after that and it is surely a hectic one. Good luck to all my new friends who will be receiving their semester test result as well as to me and Happy Lantern Festival to every Malaysians! I am so going to get myself loads of mooncake!

Have you ever seen this one-of-a-kind mooncake before?
Mmm, yummylicious! xD
Reminder:
Be careful while playing with tanglung or else you might end up like this guy :P
Cheers!

High School Memorable Events Part I

Friday, April 30, 2010
Since many of us will be starting our college life soon, which some already did, I guess it will be good for me to dedicate a few posts to commemorate our special moments during high school. Special thanks to Leowanie for inspiring me to write this post through her Facebook notes:

Good evening, guys and gals. Ke Yang is here. As you all know, our batch is the most playful, noisiest and the laziest batch ever existed in the history of MES. So, tonight, we have a special edition of Fun Times of SPM 2009 Batch, coming up in just a second. Enjoy the show. *Drum rolls*

#1 Prank for our class teacher, Pn. Moga on her birthday @ 5 Science 1 class
Its our beloved Mathematics and Additional Mathematics as well as class teacher's, Pn. Moga birthday! Shhh, don't let her know we are planning something behind her back. *Sneers* We "brainstormed" and decided to pull a prank before giving her a surprise party. What could be more interesting other than a heated fight between two hot tempered students?

Me: Karthi, what plans do we have today?
Karthi: *whispered in our ears*
Us: *Giggles*
Karthi: Ho, Gan, we need your help. Can you guys pretend you quarrelled and fought in the class?
Ho & Gan: Sure.
Me: Eik, Seow, come help Ho "make up".
Eik & Seow: *Pull tie, loosen buttons, pull out shirt, make the hair messy and keep their specs*
Us: Whoa, Fei Lou Ho, you look like a gangster leh!!
Class: *Gather around* *Whistles*

Tadaa!!
(Urgh, sorry guys, no clearer picture are taken >.<)
Everything went perfectly as planned. So, we send our "ambassador" Diva-gundu to coax our teacher that our class was in pandemonium and we needed her desperately. Luckily, we prevailed.

Teacher: *Enters the class* *Shocked to see the messy class and both Ho and Gan at their edge*
Teacher: What happened, Gan? Why you fight in class?
Liyana: *Enters the class from back door quietly* *Shows sign*
Class: Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you.... *continues singing*

And this is our teacher's response when she found out we conned her:
I bet our teacher experienced an emotion that mingled shock, happiness, anger and somehow relieved that its just an act. *laughs*

Teacher: *Speechless for a long while*
Teacher: Later I give you all testimonial B.
Class: *Laughs hysterically*
Ho: Teacher, you always say that but we know you won't do that, right? Right?? *Cast innocent eyes on teacher*
Teacher: *Teases* This time, I will give you all a B.
Us: *Never worried. Thats a typical Pn. Moga move.*

And then, we ate the cakes and gave presents to our beloved teacher. Although the gifts we gave to teacher were not opulent, but I am sure this will be a memorable birthday party that she can reminisce for many years to come. *Smiles*

#2 Bragging session with our "blow cow" sifu, Seow @ KFC
I still remember the gathering we had at KFC with Seow. Those that attended were me, Ho, Ern Eik, Kok Yee, Seow, Gan and the girls.

Seow: Hey, you all know what animal has the most number of bones?
Us: *Look at each other, puzzled*
Gan: Fish.
Me: Elephant?
Ho: Dinosaur sure got more lor.
Eik: Seconded Ho.
Seow: All wrong. *smirks*
Us: Then what is it?
Seow: Sea cucumber.

Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present to you this small, warm-like creature that wriggles on the sea floor. In case you don't recognise it, it is called sea cucumber.
Us: *crow flew above the head and this look----> =____=*
Seow: Its real one, the sea cucumbers got thousands of bones, tiny tiny one you know....
Kok Yee: Where you hear this one? So not true...
Seow: I heard it on radio yesterday. I am sure it is 100% true.
Me: Impossible.
Seow: What impossible. The deejay won't lie to their listeners lo.
Me: Maybe you heard wrongly.

And so the debate continues.. It ended up with Seow determined to proof he is the right one by searching it online. I forgot he got proved it correct or not, nevertheless, I don't think its necessary since its just a joke. Next:

Seow: Do you know that there is a small people country? People are all short and small small one. (In chinese its called 小人国)
Us: *Broke out in laughter*
Us: Urgh... Seow, don't be ridiculous.
Seow: *Serious face*
Seow: Ya lar. Its located at some where around Egypt.
Us: *Continue laughing until stomach pain*

And so, we decided Seow watch too much movies and dramas, especially Journey to the West. Next:

Seow: Do you know that we can ride bike on Great Wall of China?
Us: *Laughs again*
Us: Who told you that?
Seow: My mum.
Us: And so you believed your mum? Maybe she was just kidding with you.
Seow: *Debated with us*
Us: Seow, you go ride the bike on Great Wall of China and take a picture for us to see so that it proof your statement is the correct one.
Us: *Trying not to smile because our cheek and stomach are in pain already*

This is how it looks like when we combine mini people with a hiking to Great Wall of China on bicycle. Gambatte, you hobbits!!
The time I spent together with Seow were indeed very memorable and often hilarious. Thank you Seow for being my friend. I am sure every classmate agrees with me. *Winks*

Well, thats all for now. Thank you for taking your time to read it. Stay tuned for more stories. *Curtain closes*

Unveil The Secret Behind Gathering 30.1.10

Sunday, January 31, 2010
Yesterday, me and my friends went to a gathering at Easy Cafe. This event was announced a few days before as a "gathering" for us to chat but there's another purpose behind this event: we wanted to celebrate Emerlyn's birthday. Although its about one day before her real birthday, we decided to celebrate it earlier as most of us will be going to work at that day and that includes herself. At the cafe, we waited Emerlyn to order her dinner before giving our gifts as we know she won't eat if we give her the presents before she order her dinner. She received 3 presents from all of us.

After we finished our meal, we went to Secret Recipe to buy a slice of cake for her before going to Yee Ling's house to continue our gathering. At her house, Yee Ling suggested us an activity: the one which celebrates birthday first in this year will feed the second one, the second one feeds the third one, so on and so forth until the last one feed back the first one. Well, the game started off weird but its much fun. As we progressed, Yee Ling herself tried to hide herself so that she will not have to eat the "remains" we left. After much pursuing, she ate a little of the cake left. Thanks to Yee Ling that we had an unforgettable and enjoyable moment that night. Haha... ^^

This will be my last time gathering with Ho as he will go to Sunway to work with Eik Eik. Nevertheless, we will meet again in March when the spm result is out. Well, I would like to wish Emerlyn an early happy birthday. May your wish comes true! Cheers~

P.S. Emerlyn, I know you knew we will celebrate your birthday on that day but can you guess we there are 3 presents for you? Haha!

Christmas Eve Party

Friday, December 25, 2009
As I told in previous post, I attended a christmas eve party yesterday night. There were little variety of food prepared by it was enough for all of us who attend the party. There were spaghetti, fried meehun and pizza. After the feast, we chat and had fun. Unfortunately, we could not stayed until midnight to count down until christmas as we all got bored. I reached home at about 11.45pm and count down until christmas at facebook!

A Special Friday Night

Yesterday night, there was a moon cake festival held at our town. Many activities were carried out, such as singing, lion dance and many more. It never came to me that I would go there as I was really tired that night. After my tuition class, I went home and found out all my family were going out: my sisters all went to the festival, my mum went her friend's house and my father went to have tea with old friends... So, I decided to join my friends to go to the festival. We arrived quite late at about 8.20 pm and of course the events started already. We watched the lion dance and then suddenly we felt the rain drop on our body... It's raining!!! We hurried to the hall nearby to shelter ourselves and of course go for a round at the lantern gallery there. After that, we went for one more time to the festival and then we decided to go back as we would get sick if we don't.

When we reached the town, Chew suggested to go to Pizza Hut to 'yam cha'. We agreed. At there, we have a pepsi and some light delicacies. We gave jokes and laughed. At about 10.30pm, the family which was sitting at the table beside us left. Kok Yee saw the jug which contained about a quarter of pepsi not drank. He joked to take their drinks for ourselves. To our surprise, Ho-the-brave-one went to their table and took the jug and poured all the pepsi into our jug. Our jug which before were only half-filled was now full. We laughed till our stomach pain!! The waitress which refilled half of the jug now saw the full jug and we quickly pour the pepsi into our cup to cover up! What a joke.... As we sat at there, we felt very cold, very cold and very cold. Suddenly the air-con. stopped functioning and we thought we could have a little warmth... But after a few seconds, the air-con function back and it became colder than before... We thought that the waiter and waitress there wanted to 'kick' us out by making us cold! At about 11 pm I treated them for the supper and went home.

I had fun and laughed so much that night. It was indeed an unforgettable Friday night!

A Group Birthday Party

Last Saturday night, me and my friends had held a BBQ party to celebrate birthday of those who were born in August to October. We went to Ka Man ex-house to prepare all the foods for the party after our tuition at about 5.30 p.m. After we arrived, we started working such as washing hotdogs and fishballs, cutting watermelon and preparing orange juice. The scene of doing those jobs were very funny as most of us never enter the kitchen and even more of us never touch the knife to cut watermelon... Seow cut the watermelon until the flesh seperated from the skin and almost a quarter of the watermelon on the kitchen floor =.=" Due to the limited space at the kitchen, some of us can only chat in living room while others started putting coals and making the fire started.

Then the party started!! In between, some of us were full and just sat inside the house watching TV and chit-chatting. There were also dancing session where Chai and Loi showed their superb dancing skills and we had a fun time watching it. We continue the BBQ session until about 10 before presents giving ceremony started. I got a wallet and a T-shirt from my friends ^.^ (Thanks ya friends~~) Then we had some clean up work before going back home~~

It was indeed unforgettable party I had until now!

Happy Birthday!!

Yesterday was Wuang Shen's birthday. In the morning, we planned to give a surprise to him when we go tuition later. Some of us bought birthday cake while others prepared presents. Liyana and Ka Man even bought a new shirt for him! When the time come, we threw him the surprise party and he was shocked!! It was indeed fun to watch the change of his facial expression... HAHA ^.^

Happy birthday to Chai~~~

School Canteen Day

Yesterday was my school canteen day. I went to school early with my friends to prepare the stall which we will use to sell ice-creams. Our stall was named "Snowy Delight" and we managed to figure out a variety of ice-creams which tasted good, looked good and cheap in ingredient costs the day before canteen day. After setting up the stall, we waited for other students to come and buy our ice-creams. There were little students that passed by and stopped at our stall to buy ice-creams since it was still early in the morning. As the time passed by, more and more students started buying and we got really busy working. I only managed to get some time off the stall to go around and see whats happening in the school. I also helped the tennis club which were organizing some indoor games. Many students played their games since the grand prize is worth RM10. It was indeed a tiring day and we had our lunch at KFC to celebrate our success!
