Unveil The Secret Behind Gathering 30.1.10

Sunday, January 31, 2010
Yesterday, me and my friends went to a gathering at Easy Cafe. This event was announced a few days before as a "gathering" for us to chat but there's another purpose behind this event: we wanted to celebrate Emerlyn's birthday. Although its about one day before her real birthday, we decided to celebrate it earlier as most of us will be going to work at that day and that includes herself. At the cafe, we waited Emerlyn to order her dinner before giving our gifts as we know she won't eat if we give her the presents before she order her dinner. She received 3 presents from all of us.

After we finished our meal, we went to Secret Recipe to buy a slice of cake for her before going to Yee Ling's house to continue our gathering. At her house, Yee Ling suggested us an activity: the one which celebrates birthday first in this year will feed the second one, the second one feeds the third one, so on and so forth until the last one feed back the first one. Well, the game started off weird but its much fun. As we progressed, Yee Ling herself tried to hide herself so that she will not have to eat the "remains" we left. After much pursuing, she ate a little of the cake left. Thanks to Yee Ling that we had an unforgettable and enjoyable moment that night. Haha... ^^

This will be my last time gathering with Ho as he will go to Sunway to work with Eik Eik. Nevertheless, we will meet again in March when the spm result is out. Well, I would like to wish Emerlyn an early happy birthday. May your wish comes true! Cheers~

P.S. Emerlyn, I know you knew we will celebrate your birthday on that day but can you guess we there are 3 presents for you? Haha!

What Am I Supposed To Do?

Wednesday, January 27, 2010
A few days ago, I came across an advertisement about an Accelerated Japanese Language (AJL) Study Camp which is organized by UNITEN (Universiti Tenaga Nasional). This is a 2-months program starting from 1st February until 26th March 2010. Based on its name you can know that it is an intensive program and it offers full scholarship to students all over Malaysia that wanted to further their studies in Japan. This idea intrigued me as I always liked anime and manga. Also, Japan is definitely a good choice for me to study engineering beside Germany and France, that is if I'm given a full scholarship. I'm not rich enough to go abroad with my family supporting me.

At first, I thought of going there to learn and play at the same time since I was so bored at home. However, things started to change when I browse through uniten website to get the application form. The schedule is so hectic that it does not have ANY holidays at all including the CNY week!! To add to that, I don't have any cell phone and laptop in my possession now. This will reduce my communicating ability albeit normally there will be computers provided by the university. Another problem I encountered is that I haven't get my school leaving certificate which it requires me to make a copy. I will pay a visit to my secondary school to get it, that is if they already prepared it beforehand. If not, this might be the reason I gave up on this idea. If I succeeded getting into this study camp, I might not get a change to take my own SPM result when the time comes and I might lose the chance to apply for various scholarships offered prior to the release of SPM result which usually last for only a week. I really need these scholarships if I fail to secure the one offered by AJL.

Choosing to go or not to really bothers me a lot in these few days. What am I supposed to do? With the dead line coming really soon, I have to make up my mind whether I want to take this challenge and risk or just continue with my relaxing life for another month until my real SPM result is out.

Life's all about making choices. I hope I will make the correct one and will not regret it later in my life. God bless me.

Bored, Restricted...

Saturday, 23 January, 2010
Its the third week of January and I'm still in the middle of my holidays. How am I doing? Hmm.. "boring" its what I can describe my days. Other than the daily basis, what's left are playing computer games, surfing internet, watching tv and sometimes play piano. A few days ago, my friends decided to go interview for getting a part time job at Sunway Pyramid and I thought of going there too. Unfortunately, I was kinda restricted by my dad since he said it's very dangerous. I do partially understand his perspective but it was because of that I failed to secure any part time job at a new place. Feeling like a bird having its wings cut, I was consoled and encouraged by my friends to plead my dad to change his "concept" but I decided not to do so because I know well it will be a failed attempt. Having attended quite numerous rendezvous with my friends, I manage to update myself with my friend's life. This will soon come to a stop until March as another 2 or 3 of my friends will be going out to gain working experience. I will be all alone for another month! I wonder how I'll be able to endure it by just being a couch potato...

Anyway, CNY is just around the corner. Hopefully I can still meet up with my friends during CNY although I will not have chance to meet up with some of my friends. Well, I just have to say good luck and good bye to my friends which will again leave the town! Life still goes on...

Facebook Group Formation

Saturday, January 16, 2010
I attempted to form a facebook group just now and had succeeded in doing so. The group was named as 1992 TM Babies. I'm not sure if its a good name but I'll just follow what seemed to be best at the moment. The whole purpose of creating this group is to allow maximum communication between us, who are best friends in secondary school even when we will go our seperate ways after SPM which some of us had already did so. This group is a closed group, which means those who can join in will be those who are invited by me or the permissions to join in are allowed by me myself. So, all TM babies borned in 1992 please do accept my invitation and feel free to talk and spam like usual to make it more alive! Events that will be organized will be posted on the wall so that you can know about it and then decide to join it or not.

Credits for Nicholas Seow for contributing this idea, Waijack for the avatar image, me for creating the group and those that will help to make this group a success in future. Thanks!

New Year, New Look

Wednesday, January 13, 2010
Surprise! I changed my blog template and title today! I had been using the old template for quite a long time and I thought of giving a new look to my blog in this new year. A lighter colour as background make my blog looks less depressing unlike the one before. Being a SPM 2009 leaver, I had endured difficult times during the examination periods, thus I needed some resting before continuing my study life. So, I decided to choose this theme in hope to share my serenity and joy, which I experiences now, with all my blog readers. There's one disadvantage that I find in this template is that it does not provide me with the date I posted all of my posts. So, for the mean time, I will just post my dates before my content until I find the solution to this problem. Well, I won't elaborate any longer, you can have a look at my blog yourself.

My blog has yet to make some changes to become a good blog. So, feel free to leave some comments on my blog new appearance so that I can change for the better! Thanks in advance.

Pros And Cons Part I

Friday, January 8, 2010
Everything that happens have its pros and cons. Since this topic is so wide, I'll just narrow down to a specific topic. Lets start with blogging. Blogging is becoming a very popular 'activity' that people will do when they are online in recent years and I'm one of them which are attracted to blogging last year. Being a blogger for almost 7 months, I would like to share my experience of blogging. Here are the pros of blogging:

1. Blog act as a diary which I can write anything I want and of course with some limits. It might become something with historical value in future! :D
2. It enable me to express part of myself which I couldn't express through mouth.
3. It helped me to train myself to write in English as I'm lazy to write the essays given by my former English teacher.
4. I can have fun by reading other people's blog.
5. Get to know my friends' current condition.
6. I can get chances to share my opinions and experiences here.
7. Earn money by selling things! I saw some blogs do post the pictures of things they want to sell.
8.
9.
10.

When there's pros, there'll be cons. Here are the cons of blogging:

1. Wasting too much time trying to update myself with other blogs and my blog.
2. Giving me reason to online which disturb my study time...
3. Using short-words which sometimes (very rare) affects my spelling when I'm writing essays.
4. Posting some useless posts which piss people off.
5. Might help stalker to stalk us! jkjk XD
6. Waste money as you pay for the electric bill, internet server or services in cyber cafe.
7. Causes people to be addicted to blog, proceed to affect their health and maybe even kill them because they don't want to eat and sleep to blog!! LOL :P
8.
9.
10.

Places reserved for further "elaboration". Comments please. ^^

4th Of January

Monday, January 4, 2010
Today is the first day of school for all primary, secondary school and probably some colleges and universities. Today is also the day where my friends departed for national service. They will stay there for 3 months but in between there will be some holidays for them. It was unfortunate for them to be chosen to NS but it's their fate. If we change our perspective, going NS can be fun and enjoyable. Some part of me myself are envious as those going to NS will be engaged in many activities which make their life in these few months more meaningful. I, on the other hand, have nothing to do in this 3 month holidays. I was not chosen to NS nor do I choose to work. Well, not precisely "nothing" as I still need to take my driving lessons. I took my 'undang' trial and real exam today. My exam result surprised me as I did not finish reading the 500-questions in the book given. Some common sense, thinking and luck allowed me pass my exam smoothly. I got 46 out of 50 questions. Not bad at all! (give myself a pat on my back :D)

4th of January indicates the start of a new life in a new year for everyone which is a student. I will be going to school to retrieve my certs and approve some copies of my certs. Happy schooling to all students in Malaysia!

A New Year, 2010

Friday, January 1, 2010
Well, today is the first day of a brand-new year, 2010. To many people, a new year means nothing more than just a change of date, the starting of school life or just another year to work in the same job in a boring field and environment. If you disagree with that statement, then you can ask yourself what are your plans for this year, what you intend to do in January, February and so on which will make you feel contented and meaningful that is worth reminiscing in years to come. Stepping into this new year, I am going to change my way of thinking. But first thing first, I will enjoy myself mostly beside learning some programming stuff, forum-ing and getting my car license.

Another valuable information to share with you guys, there will be another education fair next weekend on 9th and 10th of January at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre held by Stars from 11am to 7pm. It will be one of the biggest education fair in Malaysia. Thats all for now.
