Last But Not Least

Thursday, December 31, 2009
Today is 31st of December 2009. Yes, today is the last day of 2009 and I'm pretty sure everyone is aware of this fact. Without us knowing it, 2009 is ending. If you ask me whether I will miss it, I can answer you immediately and it will be a "yes". My heart felt heavy to leave this precious and final year I spent with my friends. Theres no doubt we will get seperated and went on our lives and study at different places. I guess this is called life. Time comes and goes quickly like an arrow released and there will be no turning back. We will be continuing our lives until we reached our goals. 2010 is a brand-new year for all of us. It is the start of something new: we study in new places, make new friends, adapt to new environment, learn new knowledge and gain new experience. Stepping into 2010, I have new goals and everything will surely be different. 2 and a half months more until I get my SPM result and you won't even believe me if I say I'm not longing for a better result than what I anticipated and of course I'm nervous.

There will be tremendous change in my blog content in 2010. I will post mostly things according to my opinion similar to the paragraph above and there will be less things on my private life or if have, I will create another personal blog which will be privatized and only friends will be invited. Well, thats all for now. 19 hours more and it will be a bye bye to 2009. Wish everyone a happy new year 2010. May this new year bring new luck to all of us! Goodbye, my beloved friends! *crying while smiling*

P.S. I'm so sentimental! XD

Tiring Day

Sunday, December 27, 2009
Today, I attended a driving course with one of my friends, Kok Yee. As we were told to arrive at the registration place before 8am, I left my home at 7.40am and reached the designated place at about 8am. At first, the place was empty. There were not much people waiting but as time passed, the amount of people kept increasing until it was fully crowded. Many of them had not registered yet. So, we, who had registered earlier had to wait the others =.='' We waited for so long... 8am... 9am... 10am... yes! Finally almost all of them were registered. So we started the talk. The first speaker was an Indian. He talked many rubbish and only finish 3 pages of LCD in one hour!! @.@ Then another Malay speaker came in and took over his "work" and started all over again... *faint* After about 45 minutes of talking, we were given a break... Gosh, why they like to waste time so much!!?? As I had not eaten any breakfast, I went to the canteen there to eat my lunch. It turned out to be a disaster as well. Many people rushed to there to buy food and the people serving the food had bad attitude and the food was disgusting too... After finishing my "lunch", I went back and continued the talk. It continued until about 1.45pm and we got another break again... zzz... God damn them... The Malays went to pray and we started again at 2.45pm... Then, the speaker rushed with lightning speed to finish his talk and we managed to finish it before 5pm... I felt so relieved after that as I thought the talk might go on until 7pm...

At the same time, I met many ex-MES friends. I met Nasree, a short but friendly and clever man, Syamil, a tall, handsome and clever boy too and Faathir, my beloved English teacher's son. Their look had not changed much so I still recognize them when I saw them there. I got some chance to chat with them while waiting for the talk and know about their studies after they left MES.

Anyway, I finished the first stage of car lessons and more will come later. Next week will be the "undang" exam. So, for those who are yet to take this exam, I wish you good luck! :D Gambateh~

Visiting My Granny

Thursday, December 24, 2009
As soon as I reached home, I got news from my parents that I will be going back to my granny's house at the other side of Perak for FOUR days! Whoa... so tiring for me to start yet another journey... After some repacking, me and my family were off to Kedah~ At my granny's house, I spent most of my time watching television. There were no internet, no astro... NOTHING!! Of course my granny was still nice and friendly. She cooked many food for us. I ate until I wanted to vomit. I almost couldn't find a second when I was hungry... I also celebrated "dong zhi" or " 冬至" at there. I also got chance to make "tang yuan" or "汤圆" and eat lots of it ^^

Finally, I came back to TM today... Since today is Christmas Eve, my friends all are holding a gathering at Jiin's house. I got the news confirmed as soon as I came back. We can count down to Christmas at !2.00 am later!! I will attend the gathering despite I just reached my home and is tired. Either way, I wish you guys a Merry Christmas and for those who got good result for PMR, I congratulate you, for those who did not score well, I advice you to not give up and continue your hardwork, and finally I wish you all a happy new year!! 2010 count down is starting!! :D

Movie To Recommend

Thursday, December 24, 2009
When I was at Sunway Pyramid, me and my friends also went for a movie "Avatar". I strongly recommend you guys to watch this movie. This is not only a movie with nice plot, it also contains many good moral values for people to understand. It was directed by James Cameron, which was also the director of the movie "Titanic". Here is a short summary on the movie:

The story is set in the year 2154 when Earth's inhabitants, having used up most of their natural resources through decades of living in excess, plan to use military force to conquer Pandora, a moon roughly the same size as Earth. Pandora, inhabited by a wise, peaceful, and nature-respecting people with blue skin called the Na'vi, is rich in a resource that the people of Earth desperately need.
(Adopted from Yahoo)

Hm.. I think I will not continue to give the summary. You guys can find out more by watching the movie. Hooray for Avatar!! Its a movie worth watching for this year! :D Here are some pictures of the movie to share with you all:

Enjoy the movie!! XD

Sunway Trip

Thursday, December 24, 2009
First and foremost, I am here to clarify that I was not around in this whole week, so anything that I could not reply please do forgive me. Enough said, here is my first post for the chain events that happened in this week.

Last week, I went to Sunway for a trip held by my friends. We went for some shoppings and of course The Sunway Lagoon. The night scene at Sunway is extremely beautiful and intriguing. Here are some photos I would like to share with you all. Sorry for the delay for uploading photos...
After wetting, sure we have to take some photos
Lagoon watch... Stars~~After cleaning up, we took some photos again
Night scene of the main entrance of Sunway PyramidWent to eat "hot-pot" or also called as "火锅"
Going back to TM lor~
More photos will be uploaded in facebook. I apologize again for the delay... >.<

Packing, Get Set, Off To Sunway

Thursday, December 17, 2009
Today, I will be going to Sunway. Hooray for that. Yesterday, the boys had a discussion on a trip and of course that includes me. After much talking, we decided to go to Sunway to play. I was quite exited to go for this trip. Its been so long since I went to KL to play ( actually its only 1 year) but this dreading year made it seemed so long~ Whenever there is a trip, there will surely be packings. Hmm... Lets see, money is a "must" and of course as usual I brought more money for spare. In case there will be someone who forgot to bring money or didn't bring enough money to use...

Departing in just a few minutes. Wait for my return with some good news!! Good luck to me and enjoy myself!! Get set, off I go to Sunway!! :D

Finished... Now What?

Tuesday, December 15, 2009
Yesterday, I finished my SPM!! YEAH!!!!!!!!! I really wanted to scream but due to the uncomfortable feeling of my throat, I restrained myself from doing so... Anyway, SPM is a past for me already~ Today, me and my friends went to the field to do some exercise. I started with pure jogging for 4 laps and continued with some kicks for football and finally some shoot for basketball. I had much fun and surely my friends too. Its been so long since I touched the balls and engaged in a match XD

There will be an education fair this Saturday and Sunday at Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur. I am still thinking to go there or not. For more information, please visit here. The end of SPM means the start of our happy time!! Lets cheer together!! :D

Last Day!!

Sunday, December 13, 2009
Well, time sure flies. Today will be the last day before my final paper of SPM and of course it will also be the last paper for most of my Chinese friends. After tomorrow, we will be totally freed from this exam!! Maybe some people think finishing SPM will be the time for enjoying ourselves but I think it differently. If you change your perspective, you just might find being a bookworm is better than being a couch potato. Okay okay... maybe some entertainment is a "must" but 3 months of holidays really requires some planning so that it will be utilized fully. Before that, I still have many square-grid-words to read and write. I hate to write these words despite I learned them since I was small. It drains my energy like it's drinking water but still... being a pure one is better than a ''banana'' :D (no offence cause I am talking about those that learned Chinese since primary school but gave up on it in SPM)

Well, Chinese paper's format had just changed this year to a harder version. So, I will just hope that it will be easier than trial paper and I wish every Chinese in Malaysia good luck in taking Chinese papers!! JYJY! One more day... XP

Jokes For Today

Friday, December 11, 2009
Here is a joke from recom to release tension:

For a couple of years I have been blaming it on lack of sleep, not enough sunshine, too much pressure from studying and working, earwax build up , poor blood clotting or anything else I could think of. But NOWWWWW!!! I have found out the real reason. I am tired because I am overworked.

Here's why!

The population of this country is 273 million.

140 million are retired. That leaves 133 million to do the work.

There are 85 million in school, which leaves 48 million to do the work.

Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal government. Leaving 19 million to do the work

2.8 million are in armed forces preoccupied with their own armies duties. Which leaves 16.2 million to do the work.

Take from the total 14,800,000 people who work for state and city governments. And that leaves 1.4 million to do the work.

At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals. Leaving 1,212,000 people to do the work.

Now there are 1,211,998 people in prisons. That leaves just, just two people to do the work. You and me.........

And there you are siting on your butt, at your chair, reading this. Nice, nice, real nice

It's just for laugh. Have a nice day :D

Quotes On Success

Friday, December 11, 2009
Here are some quotes about success that I would like to share with everyone:

If A is success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut.
Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955), Observer, Jan. 15, 1950

Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of value.
Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)

A great secret of success is to go through life as a man who never gets used up.
Albert Schweitzer (1875 - 1965)

To follow, without halt, one aim: There's the secret of success.
Anna Pavlova (1885 - 1931)

The person who makes a success of living is the one who see his goal steadily and aims for it unswervingly. That is dedication.
Cecil B. DeMille (1881 - 1959)

The man of virtue makes the difficulty to be overcome his first business, and success only a subsequent consideration.
Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC), The Confucian Analects

Aim for success, not perfection. Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life.
Dr. David M. Burns

My mother drew a distinction between achievement and success. She said that 'achievement is the knowledge that you have studied and worked hard and done the best that is in you. Success is being praised by others, and that's nice, too, but not as important or satisfying. Always aim for achievement and forget about success.'
Helen Hayes (1900 - 1993)

Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.
Henry David Thoreau (1817 - 1862)

Try and fail, but don't fail to try.
Stephen Kaggwa

The art of leadership is saying no, not saying yes. It is very easy to say yes.
Tony Blair

Success is that old ABC -- ability, breaks, and courage.
Charles Luckman

Regurgitate these quotes to further understand why these men said it. It may give you inspiration!! For those who will take spm in the following year, these quotes can be used in your essays :D

4 more days to go~~ JYJY!!

Being Sentimental... T.T

Wednesday, December 9, 2009
Another day had passed. I am one step closer to the last subject!! As I said, today will be the day I go to school to return my books. After about one hour of "recollecting" my books, finally I found all of my books which earlier I thought some were "missing-in-action". To look back at all the text books, I felt a sudden surge of emotion inside me especially the Biology text book and the Sejarah text book. This two text books had accompanied me for many days and even weeks. We did many things together including eating together, sleeping together and never left each other! Suddenly I felt like I don't want to return the book to school anymore. So sentimental huh!! I will be missing you all after you all are gone T__T

I will upload photos later... For now, I had to go to school to do what I should do...

Mountains of Books

Tuesday, December 8, 2009
Tomorrow I need to return all the form 5 text book back to the school. I think it is a farewell ceremony for us, form 5 students. To look at my study room and bedroom, here and there, ALL ARE BOOKS!! My study room are filled with books and papers. Rearranging these books will take me half of the day! HUH!! I hate to do it now but what can I do. The schedule were set up by the school. I want to rest a day also cannot. Haiz... ... ... I have to go and reorganize my room now. Come back later after I finished.

Mountains of books, here I come... @.@

Chemistry... Done!!

Tuesday, December 8, 2009
Today, I sat for chemistry paper. It was not very hard, but required critical thinking. Anyway, I think I still can score well... hahaha~~ After chemistry, there will be one more last paper, Chinese paper. No more tension, no more nervousness. Chinese will be way easier as there are more time to read, at least its what I hoped. Tomorrow I need to go to school again... At last, our heavy text book will be returned to its original owner.

6 more days to go until everything will be finished. FINISHED!! Counting down....

12 Subjects Again

Wednesday, December 1, 2009
Just now, I watched the news and heard that there will be 12 subjects that can be taken for students that will be taking SPM next year. That means there will be no 10 subjects limit which I think they all worry about. According to The Star Newspaper, moves are afoot to limit to 12 the number of subjects an SPM candidate can take from next year, now that examination fees have been abolished! So, form 4 and form 5 don't have to worry much now... Before this, all wondering which to take: chinese or account or art or others... so frustrating... Its so nice of the government.

Today, I also found out my friend, HO IS SICK. Our very-fit-and-healthy-Ho also got sick already!! He got HIGH FEVER! Hearing this news made me feel feverish @.@ Hmm.. I think its because he is punished for being naughty! He even got RM15 from CF even though he ate more than work in our school canteen day... or maybe because he always bully others?... or because of other personal reasons... Anyway, there are 3 more days after today. Hopefully you can get well and study for chemistry! Its such a bad timing as chemistry is your last subject!

As for me, I have 2 more subjects and10 more days to go! Everyone take care of yourself for this short period!! Drink more water~~

3 More To Go!

Thursday, November 26, 2010
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......
finally finish all the memorizing subjects!! Today, I sat for 2 subjects with a total of 3 papers which were the accounts and chinese literature. To think back, the SPM schedule really made me scared. Biology is followed by chinese literature!! BIOLOGY+CHINESE LITERATURE=DEATH... but everything seemed to be inversed today. Account paper is harder than chinese literature, which was the last thing I expected. The chinese literature paper is almost the same as perak trial paper! Instead, the account paper 2 came out graph, which had never happened in any of the years before for as long as I know....

Never mind that... what is the most important is to get sleep!!!!!! Didn't sleep for more than 24 hours now... My pimples are blooming and erupting!! 2 more science subjects are coming really soon. JYJY!! Get some sleep tonight~~

My SPM Progression

Yay!! 7 subjects done already! That means I'm left with... *counting* ... 13-7=6! Almost forgot how to count because maths and add maths were DONE! So far everything are okay. The add maths questions which I thought will be hard were surprisingly EASY but I made one careless mistake... I hoped the questions will be harder because I wasted my sleeping time for it! It caused me to have no mood in the tuition at Mr. Chong that night. It was my last tuition with him but it was nothing special. The night went on like usual: write, write, write... At least I have no exam until next Monday~ Next week will be another tormenting week, all about memorizing!! SIENZZ... Have to study now ler. I will update blog when I have time again!!

Biology and Chinese Literature here I come~~ JYJY!

4 Down, 9 More To Go

3 days had passed since the first day of SPM!! 4 subjects done and 9 more to go... I don't know how I did in the exam. I just keep writing and writing as long as there is something for the examiner to mark... especially for my history. I read ALL the text books but still my mind was BLANK when I received the paper!! Why this happened to me?? I felt so sad and disappointed with myself. I really did FINISH reading... haiz if only I knew this would happen to me then I would not read any history text book at all and I could concentrate more on my bm... I'm quite satisfied with my english and est... hopefully my essay will not be out of topic!! As for my bm, I can only pray... Anyways, there is a saying "let bygone be bygone". Forget all the bad things and concentrate on the remaining subjects!! Maths, moral and add maths papers are in next week. JYJY do my best in SPM!!

Story Writing

“Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!” As much as James wanted to ignore the chants of the teenagers surrounding him, he could not. He was certain, however, that the shouts were not the worst part of his present situation. His nose was bleeding and his head was throbbing loudly from the blows he had already received. How was it that he got into this mess again?

Brad Peterson, the tall, bulky, red head jock in front of him, aimed another blow. Luckily, James managed to duck this time. He knew Brad weighed and measured in height more than he did. Brad was probably ten times stronger than he, too. Why didn’t he care then? Why had he recklessly punched the guy for no apparent reason? Had he had a reason? The encounter had only started minutes ago but James could not recall the events before it.

“Kill him Peterson!” One of the jock’s accomplices called.

The encouraging shout for his opponent roused James’ the fury even more. He rushed towards Brad as fast as he could, launching with his left. The jock held the first punch with his hand but didn’t notice James’ other fist coming from the right. Brad was thrown aback. James took the opportunity to hit his challenger straight in the nose, making him bleed and fall down to the floor.

“What the hell’s going on here?!” The outraged demand stood in the air for less than a second. Then everyone began to flee. Only three people stood in the parking lot now: Brad Peterson, James Rolland and Principal Andrew Collins.

“Mr. Rolland! In my office! Now!” shouted Collins.

“I wasn’t the only one in the fight!” protested James.

“I will see Mr. Peterson later.”

“But-“

“I said now!”

James frowned and pursed his lips defiantly but made no other complaints to accompany the Principal. The office was a small room with a wide window at the back facing the inner grounds of the school. On the left wall stood a wooden book shelf alongside a file cabinet and from the right wall hung several certificates. James sat on one of the two chairs across the desk, which was set in front of the window. Mr. Collins stood a few moments staring down at the student but finally settled down behind the desk.

Through all his thirty-five years working with the public educational system he had seen several cases like James’ but, for some reason, this seventeen year old senior struck him harder than others. Why he felt so attached to the boy he did not know. Perhaps the reason stood behind his actually knowing how this boy came to be where he now was. Of course he had seen angry, trouble making adolescents before, but never had he met the person before the anger. James was different. The boy had been his neighbor since the age of ten. He had always been a straight A student. He was also a great athlete, even use to be the soccer team captain. Yet, three weeks ago James had dropped off the soccer team and lately his grades had been going down.

“This is your third fight of the week, James.” said the principal. The boy shrugged. “Well, it’s Friday so you won’t have to deal with me for at least two days.”

“You live next door, remember?” the old man reminded him. “So? Stay away from my house then.” The old man was quiet for a few moments, reflexive. How two months can change a person…, he thought. James raised his gaze for a moment, intrigued by the silence, but once his eyes met the Principal’s he looked back down.

“Are you going to tell my mom?” As soon as he pronounced the question, James regretted it. He sounded like a seven year old child trying to hide away from inevitable trouble.

“I think she has suffered enough.” The words sounded harsh, almost accusing.
James felt piercing pain stab his chest. His breathing became deep. He was trying to calm himself, trying to ignore the guilt. “You can’t keep this up Jay. Your grades are going down. During the past months, you’ve been in so many fights I have already lost count. You can’t stay angry for the rest of your life. Especially if don’t want to keep hurting your mother.”

“It’s not my fault, ok?!” He exploded, standing up while he shouted the next words. “Even if I go back to being the perfect son, the ideal student. You think that’s going to matter?! You think she’s going to stop crying at night?! You think she’s going to stop missing him?! You think I’m going to stop missing him?! He’s not coming back!”

The principal sat stiffly on his chair taking in the student’s sudden reaction. After a few seconds he said: “I know James, he’s not going to come back and you’re never going to stop missing him, neither is your mother. Still, you have to try to move on. He-H- Michael wouldn’t want his son to go down the path that you-“ But James did not allow the old man to finish. Instead he rushed out of the office, slamming the door and muttering something that sounded a lot like “I don’t need this.”

A mixture of feelings rushed through the Principal’s head. First he felt outrage. Followed by exasperation. Afterwards came frustration joined by disappointment. Finally he felt sadness. I don’t know what else to say to you Jay. I have no idea of what else to say…

James allowed the rage inside of him to continue stirring itself. So what if his grades were going down? So what if he had gotten into at least ten fights the past month? What did Collins care? He entered his home through the back door and went up the stairs. From the moment he step foot on the hallway he could hear his mother’s sobs at the last room. He wondered when she’d gotten home from work. Had she even left the house?

James took a deep breath and walked towards his own room, placed just two doors away from his mother’s. He moved his hand to turn the handle but retrieved and walked towards the room next to his, the bathroom. After locking the door, he looked at his face in the mirror. A smear of dried blood ran down his nose. The skin around his right eye was red; it would turn purple in the morning. He took a towel and rinsed off the blood. Once he had cleansed his face, he took a final good look at himself. Who was this person in front of him? Never so much rage had invaded him.

He recalled Old Collins’ words. “…you’re never going to stop missing him... Still, you have to try to move on.” He had heard the same advice over and over again from different people. First from his friends, then from his family, then his from teachers and now from the Principal. But why was it that only now the idea seemed to cast itself inside his mind. Had he had enough? Was he tired of all the fighting? Surely he was tired of it, but his weariness wasn’t the reason behind his sudden realization. He had finally admitted the truth: he misses his father and there’s nothing he can do about it.

He went out and made his way towards his mother’s room. There, she sat on her bed, holding a picture and crying. Only when he sat next to her did she look up.
She noticed the marks on his face. “Don’t tell me you were fighting again.”

“I’m sorry, mom.” James apologized. It took a moment for her to understand the meaning behind his words. Finally she let her face sink into his shoulder, threw her arms around him and continued to weep. James wrapped his arms around his mother’s body and placed his chin over her head. A moment later he found himself doing something he had not done since his father’s death: he was crying. -THE END-

This is just something that I wanted to share with you all. Hopefully you all will enjoy my last update in this blog for the time being. SPM is just 24 hours away!! I wish all the spm candidates all the best and my friends, good luck to you all!! JYJY all!! May God bless us~~

Prefect's Farewell Dinner

Tonight, my school held the prefect farewell party to celebrate the Form 5s, including me that will be graduating soon. The party was held at our school's hall, which was a disappointment. Despite that, I still went to the dinner because I paid RM20 for the prefect's fees and a total of RM100 for all 5 years and yet I did not get any post in the prefect's board... ~.~ I went to the party with Ho accompanying me and reached there early. The party started with a short slide show and of course speeches from teachers and also our dear head boy, Teck Li. Teck Li was surprised when the MC called his name and asked him to give a prompt speech but he did a good one! Then, the party started. I ate and ate and ate... 3 plates of food and one plate of cakes ( the cake SUCKS!!!) The fried rice was hot, very hot... Nevertheless, I think the food here is much more better than the one I ate in the Dewan Tun Abdul Razak. After eating, we had lucky draw and thanks giving ceremony before ending the party.
Vikhna-the-mighty-one and Thivyah~
Still preparing~Our beloved principal giving his speech~The lucky draw event...

Summary Writing

Guidelines for summary writing:

1. Read the question carefully. Ask yourself: “What am I required to summarise?”

2. Mark the first and last lines of the passage you are asked to refer to.

3. Then select information that is relevant to your answer. To do this, underline the relevant lines or ideas as you read the text. Always ask yourself: “Is this...” (For the summary below, you would ask: “Is this a reason tigers have become extinct? or Is this a measure that should be implemented?”

4. Look through the lines/ideas you have underlined. Sometimes an idea is repeated in another line by way of paraphrasing. Ask yourself, is this a repetition?

5. Summarise these ideas. You can combine ideas by combining phrases or sentences, or you may want to paraphrase ideas/sentences. However, make sure your sentences are complete sentences and not fractured bits and pieces.

6. If you cannot paraphrase ideas, see if there are words in the text that you can replace without affecting meaning. For example, you can use a pronoun to replace a noun.

7. If you are a weak student, do copy the complete sentence. This way, you will not lose marks for content or language.

8. Begin the summary with the 10 words given and remember that the three dots after the tenth word mean you have to complete the sentence with some relevant information from the text.

9. Organise the ideas/points in the manner in which they are found in the text. Do not waste time trying to rearrange ideas.

10. Adhere to the word limit. Writing more than the required number of words will not get you any marks. Anything far too short of the word limit means you lack content.

11. Pay attention to the tense (and sometimes pronoun) used in the given 10 words.

12. Write the summary in one paragraph. Some students are in the habit of drawing columns to facilitate counting of words. This is perfectly fine but do write your final draft in one paragraph.

Pitfalls to avoid

1. Do not include information not found in the text.

2. Do not include your own ideas or opinions.

3. Do not spend too much time paraphrasing as you might end up losing marks for content unless you can do so without altering/distorting meaning.

4. Do not repeat ideas. Sometimes, an idea is repeated in the text and you may not notice it as it may have been paraphrased.

5. Do not include material from other lines in the text.

Hopefully it helps a little in boosting your confidence in writing summary!

K3M Merit!!

Today, my school held a chemistry answering technique session and I felt lucky that I went to school as I learned a lot of useful techniques to be used even though some of them looked minor but it is necessary for me to get my targeted A+!! Also at the same day, I got news from my chemistry teacher, Pn. Zalina regarding the K3M (Kuiz Kimia Kebangsaan) and I was told that I got a MERIT for it!! I was one of the four students that get merit and distinctions. Unfortunately, my teacher told me that the certificate that the PPD sent to my school had my name typed wrongly. My name was typed as "Tan Key Ang"!! GRRRR!! Such simple mistake but it is enough to make the cert become a piece of priceless paper to me!! So, my teacher had already called the secretory-in-charge to retype a new certificate for me... Hopefully it can be done so that I can get my cert before I end my secondary school life. Anyway, I felt happy cause I did not read the last two chapter of Form 5 and still managed to score well :D

Funny Day

Today, I went to school as usual even though most of my friends decided to not to go to school. At first, I thought it would be a good chance to study at school as there would not be any distractions in my class but I was wrong again!! When me, Ho and Gan reached the school, Ho told Vikhna the phone call that Gan had with the "so-called-girlfriend", Jeanette Seah from the winning team of the RHB Star Mighty Minds Challenge. Then, we laughed and that was not all. Just before the assembly start, Gan's cell phone rang. He put his cell phone in his bag while he walked towards the library. Ho and I heard the ring tone and called Gan to answer the call. As expected from our clever Ho, the call was from Jeanette. He quickly ran to the assembly and spread the news. As the day proceeded, Gan received another two or so phone calls from Jeanette which made us laughed until stomachache. Ho was jealous of Gan's early meeting with his "girlfriend" and nagged around about this impossible event. Finally, Vikhna checked his cell phone and found out the relationship was still not yet fully developed and every thing will be crystal clear after SPM ~.~

8 more days to SPM!! JYJY!!

End Year Trip Debate... STOP IT!!

Today, my friends and I had a discussion on our end year trip. We talked about the trip to Penang which the girls planned earlier. They talked and talked in front of me while I was memorizing my Biology. The discussions became heated when they debated whether they wanted to go or not. I felt irritated and pissed off as they were shouting at each other and disturbed my emotions and mood for reading. So, I blurted out and asked them to stop talking. At last, most of my male friends agreed to not to go to the trip the girls planned. I, on the other hand, have not make up my mind on whether I want to go to the trip or not as almost all of my best friends are not going. I will not think of this now as it is 8 days away from SPM!! Everyone, please put these things aside and start studying as SPM is just around the corner!! Trip or no trip is no more important to us in this moment and we have plenty time after SPM even though some of us will go NS while others will go working.

PLEASE STOP TALKING AND START STUDYING AND DON'T DISTURB MY DELAYED STUDYING SCHEDULE!! SPM comes first!!

An Unexpected Day

Today, I have an unexpected day, the one I had never imagined before this. Me and Gan went to Ho's house to study account. I went there just to help them do account questions and also revise my biology. At noon, Ho's house became very hot, extremely hot. So, Ho and Gan went to my house after they had their lunch. As we stepped out of Ho's house, the sky became dark, indicating it was going to rain heavily. Luckily, they managed to come to my house before it rained like cat and dog. At my house, our revision continued smoothly. Also at that time, Ho suggested to stay at my house until it was time to go to our invited dinner at Dewan Abdul Razak. Ho also suggested an unexpected suggestion which is a secret and I will not tell it here. His suggestion came true when I agreed with him to do as he wished. Things got a little awkward and everything turned into what I never thought would happen. XD~

At the Dewan Abdul Razak, I had a wierdest dinner ever: all the food had all sort of taste, including sweet, sour, salty, bitter and also spicy. Even the teh tarik was very SPICY!! It was mixed with a lot of GINGER!!! @.@ Despite all that, there were also delicious food, expecially the grilled chicken. Yummy :D At first, I thought the dinner was going to be long, but it turned out wrong. After a short speech from the person-in-charge, we had a fast dinner, as fast as lightning! Almost all people disappeared after 30 minutes... Soon, we were the only one at there still eating even though the food was not really nice... (Sorry Guna, we lied to you... don't tell him ar!!) Then, we walked back to our respective house. I was still trying to catch up with what happened today. It all happened too fast and too surprising that I can't even catch my breath now and my stomach are still burning hot now... ~.~

It's all for now... I will update my blog when I am free again.
(P.S. don't ask me what is the unexpected thing that happened cuz it will be my life-long secret unless me and Ho decided to tell it out ;p)

Irresistable Attraction!

SPM is just around the corner!! 2 more weeks in not enough for me: still got half of Biology, two Sejarah text books...(list continued)... Still if I can stay away from the attraction of my computer, I can manage to finish it. If only I could T.T... Every time I go online, I will forget the time. One hour... two hours... three hours... four hours... "OH!! I online for four hours already!?" That's what happen if I think "Aiya, just on for 15 minutes to check mail, facebook and blog only. It won't take me that long..." Grrr... so angry with myself. From now on, have to stay away from my computer. Befriend books!! :)

Not much interesting event happened in school lately. The only thing that was very obvious was the number of students going to school is decreasing... Today, I learned a few english idioms in school when I joined with my friends to chat about idioms :D Thats all for now, I won't be updating my blog very often but will continue to be active after my SPM.

Good luck for all 2009 SPM candidates. Let us burn the midnight oil together!!
(P.S. no fire please!! XP)

Another Farewell BBQ Party

Last Friday night, the Methodist Chinese Society(CS) held a farewell party for all the form 5 Chinese students. That day, I went there with my friends to have fun since it was free for all form 5 including me. The party started with all form 5 doing work... =.=" We arranged the place and prepared the stove for BBQ. Finally, the party started at about 7.30... The party was not as joyous as I anticipated. Our CS teacher often asked us to do works. It pissed of many of us when he said we did not do anything but watch when we did every thing we could help with. So, the atmosphere was strange but fortunately there were other form's students which helped to cheer up the place. At about 10.30 p.m., the party ended. Also, we, the form 5 were required to do works again. We cleaned up the place quickly took a few photos and went home. Hopefully our CS teacher would know that what he did to us form 5 even at the farewell party which we were supposed to enjoy ourselves and do better next time... @.@

KRS Farewell Dinner

KRS held a farewell dinner at Blue Garden for all form 5 KRS members, of course it was for those that were active and dedicated. There was a total of about 30 people attended. The party started at 7 p.m. and went on until about 10 p.m. We ate our food first then we proceeded to take photos as remembering. I felt lucky to had brought along my camera and I took about 120 photos!! Such a staggering number did not surprised me as it might be our last dinner together, at least until SPM is over... Anyone who wants to take a look at the complete album please visit my facebook as I do not want to upload the same pictures for second time... Took me whole morning to upload those pictures... =.=" Here is some of the pictures~~ enjoy yourself~~

Tennis Tournament

Yesterday, my school's Tennis Club held a tennis tournament at UPSI. As a member of tennis club, I was obliged to enter this competition. Nonetheless, I was not reluctant to go as I had not joined any sports for the past few months. There was not many people that came to participate this tournament which I think is normal as it is still exam time for PMR students as well as those who will be sitting for SPM. The tournament started at about 7.45 a.m. with some warm up first. It was a nice day because there was no sun!! We played single first which I got the fourth place. Then, we ate our breakfast to revitalize our energy. The second match was man double which I was paired up with Kok Yee. We got number four too... To ensure we all had something to bring back, Pn. Lau, our teacher in charge set up a mix double where I was paired up with my own little sister whilst Kok Yee with Eng May, my sister's friend. We have a nice long match and the weather suddenly changed. The sun came out of the cloud!! It was very hot and I felt I would faint the second me and my sister won. Haha, we won! The perfect match! Then, we had some drinks at e-go before going back. Me and my friends also got a chance to take a ride in one of my friends, Jian Hao's car with him as driver!

It was a fun morning as I got chance to sweat and also spend quality time together with my friends and little sister. This will also be my last sports played in the name of SMK Methodist!!

Exam After Exam

Today is the first day of PMR. I wondered if the exam questions are east or not... anyway best of luck to all PMR students. Put all your efforts and apply all your knowledge in this exam for once and for all!! SPM trial exam had just finished. So, everyone was taking their papers from teachers and of course 'beg' for marks. No offense, I got 13A : 5A-, 6A and 2A+ (according to the original marks)... I guess I am just lucky to get these marks as I did not study much and I really mean it even though you all may think I am bluffing especially on sejarah... It was very boring this few days especially in school. Everyone was doing correction for exam papers and I had been doing add maths day after day... Gosh, why there is so many modules!! Do until I fed up already....

Anyway, wish all form 3 students good luck, may your exam goes well!! Gambateh!! 加油!!

A Special Friday Night

Yesterday night, there was a moon cake festival held at our town. Many activities were carried out, such as singing, lion dance and many more. It never came to me that I would go there as I was really tired that night. After my tuition class, I went home and found out all my family were going out: my sisters all went to the festival, my mum went her friend's house and my father went to have tea with old friends... So, I decided to join my friends to go to the festival. We arrived quite late at about 8.20 pm and of course the events started already. We watched the lion dance and then suddenly we felt the rain drop on our body... It's raining!!! We hurried to the hall nearby to shelter ourselves and of course go for a round at the lantern gallery there. After that, we went for one more time to the festival and then we decided to go back as we would get sick if we don't.

When we reached the town, Chew suggested to go to Pizza Hut to 'yam cha'. We agreed. At there, we have a pepsi and some light delicacies. We gave jokes and laughed. At about 10.30pm, the family which was sitting at the table beside us left. Kok Yee saw the jug which contained about a quarter of pepsi not drank. He joked to take their drinks for ourselves. To our surprise, Ho-the-brave-one went to their table and took the jug and poured all the pepsi into our jug. Our jug which before were only half-filled was now full. We laughed till our stomach pain!! The waitress which refilled half of the jug now saw the full jug and we quickly pour the pepsi into our cup to cover up! What a joke.... As we sat at there, we felt very cold, very cold and very cold. Suddenly the air-con. stopped functioning and we thought we could have a little warmth... But after a few seconds, the air-con function back and it became colder than before... We thought that the waiter and waitress there wanted to 'kick' us out by making us cold! At about 11 pm I treated them for the supper and went home.

I had fun and laughed so much that night. It was indeed an unforgettable Friday night!

Tea Time After Lunch

Yesterday, I went to school as usual. After the school ended, me and some of my friends went for a prayer organized by CF even though I'm not a christian.... The prayer went on as usual for about an hour then we were treated with lunch. The food prepared was very nice and delicious (thanks for the food >.<) After that, we went to a nearby cafeteria for some drinks as some of us cannot stand the hot and spicy food they ate (and actually its not that spicy) At the cafeteria, we talked and played game.
Emerlyn and Yee Ling having shakes
Ka Man having 'ais kacang'ElaineMe and Teck LiHo's 'cute' face
Jiin taking photos for all of us~~
Thank you friends for a joyous day~~~ <(",)>

Unexpected Events

I had not updated my blog for a long time as I was very busy studying and also partly lazy...

Today is a free day for me and my friends because we did not take art in SPM except 2 of my friends. Despite that, I still go to school for attendance and to study with only a few of my friends: Ho, Emerlyn, Elaine, Wong and of course those who took art... When I reached the school, every thing seemed OK... At about 9 a.m., Mr. Ganesan walked in and asked us to find the monitors to take the koko form at his office and to gather all 5 Science 1 students in the class for briefing... He went in our class twice and found out most of the students, especially Indians were chit-chatting at other class and he grew mad... After recess, he went in again and this time he was so furious that he gathered all of us and scolded us. His briefing was not short after at all... He scolded us for not studying when we did not have any exams even though I was studying, scolded us for not looking at the koko matter seriously and as usual stressed the importance of koko and so on....

Our class teacher, Pn. Moga did not seemed happy also. When Teck Li slipped off when talking to her, she stated his fault which we deeply regretted... but that was not the real reason she was unhappy, at least not what we all and some Indians thought... Sharrvind suggested she was scolded by Mr. Ganesan for our bad attitude and I think that was part of the reason...

By the way, Pn. Thana, our Biology teacher was back today!! She looked like she grew "bigger" >.< but that is normal for one who had just gave birth... She just got our Biology paper 2 from Pn. Sabariah, the one supposed to mark our paper... So, we did not get our Bio marks today...

By the way, that was all that happened in school today. There was unexpected events that happened but I managed to finish reading up part of my KC (chinese literature) text book...

Trial is 2 more days to go before finishing. Wish me luck on Thursday for my KC! @.@

Bankruptcy of Reader Digest...?

OMG!! I heard of this news a few weeks ago and I never believed it and then I found out this is a true news after flipping through the newspaper!! The news said this renowned magazine, Reader Digest is heading bankruptcy due to debts... =.=" (perhaps because of economic crisis in US?) I never thought this could be real. Though the company has not yet reach to that extent yet.

This is quoted from the newspaper:

"One of America’s most iconic names in print media is set to file for bankruptcy. According to The Wall Street Journal, Reader’s Digest has “reached an agreement with its lenders on a restructuring plan that it will likely complete under a prepackaged bankruptcy filing in order to reduce its debt.”
While the magazine still has one of the largest circulations in the US, it would appear that the same issues that have recently sunk other print publications – like Vibe
and The Seattle Post-Intelligencer – are in play here, with ongoing attempts to improve revenue and cut costs ultimately not going far enough to save the company from bankruptcy. That said, for now, it appears that Reader’s Digest will survive, as the company says in a statement that it will “continue to operate normally throughout the restructuring process.” With an incredibly well-known brand, it’s unlikely the publication will disappear completely anytime soon, though, like other troubled print media, it may have to take on a much different, more digitally focused approach to survive in the long run."

Hopefully it won't go bankrupt after all it is one of my favorite magazine!!
